Professional Experience:

I have been working in Marketing and Communications for 25 years. I have lent my skills to industries from food service to industrial chillers. I have been active in the OPE arena since 2018 when I began at Kohler engines (now Rehlko). My focus has always been the customer experience when interacting with our company. I truly believe relationships are what grow this industry, and I look to tools like loyalty programs, social media influencers, and in-person events to nurture these critical connections.

Education:

I have a BA in Advertising from the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater and a MA in Industrial/Organizational Psychology with an emphasis on Consumer Psychology.

Hobbies:

I fully enjoy karaoke! It’s a guilty pleasure of mine born from a lifetime of performing on stage in many community theater productions. I also enjoy reading, art, food, and getting to a beach at least once a year. I have 4 children aged 14, 17, 18, and 21, so watching them grow and doing my best to impart my knowledge on them as they grow.

Role Models:

I admire people who succeed without compromising their beliefs and personality. These include Michelle Obama, Bernie Sanders, Lady Gaga, and yes, Taylor Swift. People who stand by their morals and fight for those who don’t have a voice.

Objectives for OPPAA:

I want to work to grow the organization and see if partnering with other groups that have an impact on the OPE space to increase membership and expand the benefits of being part of OPPAA.
